It’s the big one! The design community invades Clerkenwell for the 3 day ‘week’ with the aim of continuing to live up to its design district title. Relatively still in it’s infancy – this will be the Design Week’s third year – it attracted 24,000 people in 2011 so you can expect even more this time around.

There are over 60 showrooms to stick your head into, and three exhibitions, with some massive design names showcasing their work. Knoll, boss design, VITRA, Anglepoise, BoConcept, the list goes on…

…What’s more, it’s free! So register now.

When – 22-24 May, 10am-9pm

Where – Clerkenwell, Clerkenwell Road, EC1

Admission – FREE if you register beforehand

Christian Louboutin @ The Design Museum

Image

If you wear shoes, you know Louboutin. The suave Frenchman, celebrating 20+ years as one of the world’s leading women’s shoe designers, will have an exhibition of his work showcased at the Design Museum this month with real emphasis on Louboutin’s design process from fantasy sketch to highbrow store.

However, the Design Museum warns that there are images of nudity in the ‘Fetish Room’, but if that’s not a reason to go I don’t know what is.

Adult admission starts at £11 and ends at £104 depending on whether or not you want a 340page, full colour, Louboutin book.

When – 1 May-9 July

Where – Design Museum, SE1 2YD

Admission – Adults £11, Students £7
